Tip for Planning Jaipur Sightseeing Tour Package

Note: The most important recommendation is to include Akshardham Temple in your Jaipur sightseeing tour package.

Nonetheless, the 23-acre religious complex is a beautiful place to spend an afternoon. With its stone carvings of Hindu deities, animals, and scenery, the white marble, and pink sandstone temple exemplifies the intricacy of Hindu architecture. Inside, you’ll find massive pure-gold statues and pristine paintings. Just outside is a tranquil garden courtyard brimming with lush plants and a musical fountain.

Places Must Visit During Tour

Jantar Mantar:

The site is an open-air collection of ancient astronomical instruments, including the world’s largest sundial. The instruments are beautiful in their simplicity and there are helpful bilingual signs, but you’ll need a guide (or audio guide) to understand them. We opted to rent an audio guide as we wanted to explore the site at our own pace. There are fewer visitors compared to the nearby City Palace, so it is less crowded, although tour groups are occasionally found.

Hawa Mahal

This 5-story palace was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, the main architect of the palace built with red and pink sandstone.

Hawa Mahal was Designed on a beehive castle, with small windows, it stands 50 feet high from its base, and this structure erected on a slim podium has walls less than a foot thick. Hawa Mahal is famous for its windows or jharokha, which allow the free circulation of air within the structure.

The building has no stairs to reach the upper floors, the floors are connected by slopes from Hawa mahal, and we can see great views of the entire city.

Nahargarh Fort

This is another historical Jaipur fort built in 1734 and belongs to the UNESCO world heritage sites. It is better to go by any vehicle rather than walking as you will have little energy to walk and enjoy the facilities. This fort has the best bird’s eye view of the city and is great for zooming in on HD videos from there. There is a good restaurant and a shop for snacks and drinks. It is better to go in the afternoon to have a good view of the sunset.

Note: Entrance ticket costs Rs.20/- for Indians and Rs.50 for foreigners. The interior of the palace is decorated with exquisite works on the walls and ceiling.
